Does Easy Multi Display work without an Internet connection?

Easy Multi Display is designed to run locally, without relying on the cloud or a permanent Internet connection. Only one connection is needed at the start, to activate your license. After that, the software runs entirely offline.

An online activation, then everything local

The first time you use it, connect your computer to the Internet just long enough to activate your license. This step is one time only. Once the license is activated, you can disconnect the machine from the network: Easy Multi Display keeps working normally.

This “local first” approach is essential for command rooms and sensitive environments, where the workstations are often kept isolated from the Internet for security reasons.

What you can do without Internet

Offline, most functions remain available. In particular, you can use these sources:

• File: to display an image, a local video or a document.
• Folder: to broadcast the contents of an entire directory.
• Software: to launch and display an application installed on the workstation.

So you can display your photos, your locally saved videos, your folders or even your software, with no connection at all.

What requires an Internet connection

Some functions necessarily depend on the network. Without Internet, you cannot:

• Stream live videos from YouTube, Dailymotion or similar platforms.
• Display websites.

These sources need to access online content in order to work.

Save bandwidth with the Stream option

Easy Multi Display offers a “Stream” option that lets you download a video only once from a streaming platform. The video is then played locally, without consuming additional bandwidth on each playback. Handy for replaying the same content several times without straining the network.

Playing videos locally

To display a video on an offline workstation, simply transfer it via a USB drive or a memory card, then display it with the “File” or “Folder” sources. No connection is required for playback.
